Blendabilities Butterfly

I decided to pull out that fabulous Swallowtail for my Blendabilities post today! I also did something I've never done before; which was to cut him out! You can't tell too much in the picture, but I stamped the butterfly on Shimmery cardstock. That made it extra shiny!

  • Always Artichoke card base - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
  • Kinda Eclectic - leaves stamped in Always Artichoke ink
  • Swallowtail - stamped on Shimmery White with Memento ink, colored with all three shades of Calypso Coral Blendabilities
  • Amazing Birthday - greeting stamped on Shimmery White with Calypso Coral ink, cut with Banners framelits

Masculine Monday

The final Monday of the month means that it is time to celebrate Masculine Monday at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration. Make sure you stop over and see what some of the other designers created as well.

I went for a birthday card this time. I found that one of the birthday greetings from Amazing Birthday works well with the Note Tag Punch!

Christmas Bingo

The challenge at Merry Monday Christmas was a fun one this week, so I had to squeeze something in so I didn't miss out on participating. The challenge was to play Bingo when designing your card using the following "bingo card."

Truthfully, I wanted to play it as a blackout because I had a hard time sticking with one row. I finally settled on the diagonal from bottom left to top right.

The Merry stamp from Seasonally Scattered is great for embossing!

  • Real Red card base - 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
  • Basic Black and Brushed Silver circles - punched with 2-1/2" Circle Punch
  • Real Red layer - 3" x 5-1/4"
  • Merry image from Seasonally Scattered - stamped in VersaMark, embossed with Winter White embossing powder
  • Trimmed with 1/8" Silver Ribbon - adhered with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Star Card

Today at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration it is Framelits Friday! One of my favorite things to do with our framelits is to make shaped cards. I also played with my new Alphabet Rotary Stamp on this card.

  • Brushed Silver Cardstock - folded in half and cut with largest Star Framelit
  • Real Red Cardstock - cut with second and third Star Framelits
  • Alphabet Rotary Stamp - stamped with Real Red ink on Pool Party Cardstock
The rotary stamp does take some practice. My tips are: don't push down too hard. Rock backwards and forward very gently to get all of it stamped evenly.

Focus On Six Sides & More

Hello, sweet friends! Today at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, the designers are focusing on the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set. I've only played with this set a few times, but every time I do; I love it. Guess I should use it more!
I found this great color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments; which I felt went really well with this set. As you can see, the colors in the challenge are Marina Mist, Night of Navy and Hello Honey.

  •  Hello Honey card base - 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
  • Marina Mist layer - 4" x 5-1/4", scored at 1/4" on all four sides with Simply Scored
  • Gingham pattern from Six-Sided Sampler, stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White
  • "Hello Sweet Friend" from Six-Sided Sampler, stamped in Marina Mist
  • All images punched with coordinating Hexagon Punch
  • Flower image from Six-Sided Sampler stamped in Hello Honey and Marina Mist (after being stamped off once). Punched out using Bitty Butterfly Punch
  • Night of Navy cardstock punched with Bitty Butterfly Punch
  • Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon
*PRIZE PATROL* Today is my 250th post! To celebrate, all comments made on today's post will be entered in to a drawing for an assortment of cards I've featured on the blog! Thanks to each of you for helping me reach this milestone!
