March Blog Hop

Welcome to our March edition of the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! Spring is my favorite time of year; I just hope the best parts of it get here soon. Seeing all of the flowers in bloom and everything getting green always bring a smile to my face. Even though I don't run like I used to, walking outside on a crisp, spring day and taking a deep breath takes me back to my track days and I think, "today's a good running day."

As always this card did not end up like I had envisioned it, but I was very happy with the outcome. This would make a great happy spring card to brighten someone's day; or a congratulations card for a growing family.

The most exciting thing about this card for me is that it's my FIRST hybrid project! I've been a My Digital Studio junkie since it came out in 2009 but I've always just used it for scrapbooks or flyers and gift certificates for my businesses.

Supplies used:
Card stock: Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette
DSP: Sunshine & Sprinkles
Stamp set: Secret Garden
Ink: Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: Big Shot, Secret Garden Framelits, Designer Vintage Faceted buttons, Melon Mambo Striped Organdy ribbon
Adhesive: Glue Dots, Snail, Stampin' Dimensionals
My Digital Studio 2
Love Birds Alphabets and Numbers-grow digital stamp brush set in Pacific Point

I hope that you have enjoyed my card and it made you smile and inspired you to get to your craft room and make something bright! Please leave a comment; we love to hear what you think of our projects! Then, hop on over to Pamela's blog using the Next button. If you get lost on the hop or want to go back to a specific blog, the list of participants is available to you for just that reason!

Happy Spring Stamping!

Valentine treats

These are the Valentine's treats I made for everyone in my office. The M&Ms for the student employees & the pens for the full timers since most of us are on a diet. So quick & easy!

Fabric February Blog Hop

Greetings! Thanks for joining us on this Fabric edition of our blog hop. Chances are you just came from Diana's page. Doesn't she have the cutest creations?

Ok, I admit it; I'm a Fish McBites addict. The only thing I have a bigger addiction to is the Dress Up Framelits! What better way to showcase fabric on a card than to make it a dress. :)

Products used:
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Whisper White
Paper: Champagne Glimmer
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Fabric: Twitterpated
Adhesive: Tombow, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
Accessories: Cute Clips-Hung Up, Big Shot, Top Note, Dress Up framelits, Stampin' Trimmer

Last weekend I spent 2.5 glorious days at Creative Convention Online, where I gained some valuable tips to use in my Stampin' Up! business and made Make & Takes galore! This layout was one of the M&Ts that we did. Change the paper, change the images on the front, and voila, I now have an encouraging card to give to a friend before her job interview.

This picture isn't as good, but I wanted to show that the dress is hanging on the hanger and not actually glued to the card.

Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear what you thought of my latest dress creation and see what you've been making with your dress framelits!
Head on over to Shellie's blog now. She's so creative and crafy!

Recent cards

These are some cards I have made recently. The red one with the dress is one that I had made at the crop last weekend.
I've decided to start mass producing "designed bases" and leave greetings off until I need to use them. This worked very well this morning when my husband texted me that he forgot to tell me that it was one of his co-worker's birthday today & could I make her a card & get it to the store that the carpool leaves from. :)

The owl card was an easel card made for a friend's baby shower. I punched the owl out in the same color pattern as the owl pillow I got for her.

Crop weekend

This weekend I set up a vendor booth at a local scrapbooking crop. I love doing crops because I can share my love of Stampin' Up! with others while also working on projects I've been meaning to complete or dreaming up.
Yesterday I brought the laptop and finished our 3rd anniversary album in My Digital Studio. Today I'm working on cards. I didn't bring any stamps because I didn't want to have to bring all my punches & ink caddy (because you know the color I had to have would be at home if I only brought a few). I'm making the card bases & design & will add sentiments when I get home. :)

Here's a preview of my (small) mess and a few dress cards I've made. The new Dress Up framelits are addictive!

Gifts

So, yes I'm a little behind on sharing this post with you. Did you see the holiday ornament that was on front of the Holiday Catalog? I had a blast making these for my family for gifts.
My Christmas-y colored ones.

Made for my sweet twin nieces for their 1st Christmas!

Not SU, but I made these dishcloths as part of their gifts.
Quickly designed gift box to hold ornament.

The greatest thing about these ornaments is that you can use different Designer Series Paper and make them for any time of the year!
They make great gift tags, especially hanging on a bottle of wine! ;)

I love teaching how to make these; if you'd like to schedule a personal class to learn how, please let me know!

December Blog Hop

Happy Holidays! I can't believe that it's already December. The 70 degree weather here in the Land of Oz has made it even harder to believe, but I'm not complaining. I still haven't found my gloves, so the cold can stay away just a little bit longer!

I love making holiday projects. My card is one I designed for our club meeting last month. I had told them we would do either a card or a gift card holder; at the last minute I decided to make it both! I love the versatility of the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper stack. (Preview: there's a new stack coming out in the Spring Catalog!)
My initial card was the middle left. During the club demonstration, I made the on the middle right. The others were made by some of my club members.
Supplies used:
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake
DSP: Festival of Prints
Stamp sets: Scentsational Season, Curly Cute
Ink: Early Espresso, VersaMark, Cherry Cobbler, Lucky Limeade
Tools: Big Shot, Holiday Collection Framelits, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Stampin' Trimmer, Simply Scored, Bone Folder, Heat Tool
Adhesive: SNAIL, Tombow
Other: Cherry Cobbler and Sparkling Silver Dazzling Details, various embossing powders

Inside view
My 3-D project is actually one that I made to sell. Some local crafters and I got together and opened our own Little Shop of Treasures holiday shop 2 years ago. We had a lot of fun doing this. I had found this idea from another demonstrator on our exclusive demonstrator website.
This is definitely a great way to dress up candy cane treats for the holidays.
Supplies used:
Punches: Curly Label, Word Window, Boho Blossom
Markers: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Adhesive: Glue Stick
Embellishments: Metallic Brads

I hope you enjoyed my projects. It means a lot that you took the time to stop by and check them out! Click that Next button below to head on over to Kim's always-fabulous blog! Make sure to keep hopping around; you'll see some new faces this month. Our blog has always had tremendous talent, and we've added much more this month. You don't want to miss Justin's blog. He posts a new card every morning for us demonstrators to see and every single card is drool worthy!
