September blog hop

Hi! Thanks for joining the Stylin' Stampin' Squad September blog hop! I'm so excited to show my latest creations to you!

What did you think of Heather's projects? She always has such cute projects!

This is the gift set I created for this month.

My intention this month was to CASE (copy and share everything) a really cute CAS (clean & simple) card that I saw earlier this week. What started out in my mind as a back to school "apple for the teacher" card ended up a fall "thank you" card.

The idea for the milk carton I did CASE from another demo. What a genius idea to use the framelits to make a window before you assemble the carton! One side has an apple cut out, the other side a pear cut out. I filled the carton with two Apple Pear'adise tea lights that I had gotten from Gold Canyon. The "windows" provide a perfect vent to allow the scent to come out. These would be great for a teacher's desk where she needed a little smell good scent, but couldn't burn an actual candle!

Thank you for joining me today. I look forward to hearing what you thought of my projects.
Hop on over to the very talented Kim's blog and be sure to leave her some love too!

  1. Great projects Darcy. Isn't it funny how we can start making one card and end up with something completely different? I have never used the Milk Carton die but your project has inspired me!

  2. I love the simplicity and beauty of your card! TFS

  3. Cute milk carton with the pear cut out and what a great idea to add the pear tea lights inside. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Love the milk carton/candle gift idea! i can think of so many uses for a gift like this.

Also love the CAS card. I find myself drawn to more CAS cards lately. As much as i like the fussy stuff I find that I don't give away the fussy stuff. CAS is so much easier and fits in envelopes better :)

  5. Love your projects! I need to use my milk carton die more! Thank you for sharing.

  6. I love your projects and I think what you did with the milk carton die is just adorable. GREAT job!! :) Thank you for inspiring me :)

  7. Cute projects! I love how you linked together the buttons with that twine! Cute!

  8. That is such a great idea cutting the window with the framelits. Great job!

  9. LOL, Darcy on the "intent to CASE", morphing into something totally different. Been there, done that, too. What are you doing with the cutout from the milk carton??? Could it be on another card??? :)

  10. What a cute gift set! Beautiful!
