Making A Difference

I definitely have much more gratitude now than I did earlier in life. I attribute that to getting older, yoga, meditation, being knocked down in life a few times, and dealing with some hard losses. Also, my current group of co-workers. I have been truly blessed with the greatest group of selfless, caring co-workers that anyone could ever ask for.

As the official/unofficial Fun Factor chair in the office, I organize office get-togethers; or throw out a fun Mad Libs email from time to time. This month, I wanted to get a little more "serious" with our fun. I converted our counter into a Make A Difference area for Thanks & Giving.

I made little treat packages for each person in the office, with a few extra in case they wanted to share. The second picture is a close up of these.
I also made card boxes, and put four cards in each one. I labeled the boxes so everyone would know what type of card was in each box. I am encouraging each person to take at least one card and send it to someone they know, or don't know, to make a difference in that person's life.
You can find tutorials for the treat packages and card boxes on my Design Team post at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration today.

Because I know the people in my office, I have a feeling they will want to pay for the cards. In order to continue paying it forward, I created a donation jar. Any funds they wish to donate for the cards, they can put in the jar and those funds will be given to our local Community Food Kitchen. The food kitchen has seen an influx of traffic recently, and they are always short resources this time of year as it is.

To complete the area, I printed two quotes that I found on Pinterest. I had to laugh after I printed it, as I realized that I had misquoted the quote. The only "or" in the first quote should be before perfect. Maybe you had to be in my head, but I found it really ironic that I really wasn't perfect in quoting a quote on not being perfect. The second quote just makes me giggle. (You can click on the picture to enlarge it.)

Look for more Making A Difference posts from me in the next couple of months. I'd love to hear how you're making a difference, whether it's with Stampin' Up! or not. Nameste.
