It's a Mystery
Hello! Welcome to another installment of the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog hop. This month everything is a mystery!
You are currently at stop #1. You may be starting here, or you may have come here from Cheryl's blog. If you get off track, or a link doesn't work, there is a complete hop list at the bottom of each post. We hope you enjoy!
So you may be wondering what I meant when I said it was a mystery. Each of us sent items to each other that we were required to use on our project for this month. This is what Cheryl sent me.
And this is what I created with these supplies.
Since Cheryl had already used a thinlit to "decorate" the tree, I used the Metallic Thread that she sent along to thread through the holes for a garland effect. I added a Metallic Gold Star to the top the tree.
Mint Macaroon and Cherry Cobbler were two of the colors featured in the piece of Designer Series Paper that Cheryl sent me. This is how I chose the colors of card stock and ink to use. Through this, I discovered that I LOVE Cherry Cobbler stamped on Mint Macaroon!
I love the products that Cheryl sent, especially since I personally only own one of the three products myself. It was great to get to play with new items! Thanks, Cheryl, for the INKspiration and great products!
I sent my three items to Diana. She said that my items were quite a challenge, but I knew she was up for it! Let's head over to her blog with the Next button and see what she came up with!

Mystery In the Blog Hop
This month for our Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop, we are using our Mystery Swap theme. Each participant sent three items (or four) to another participant, who then had to use all of those items in some way on their project.
My items came from Donna, and while I forgot to take a picture of what she sent me before I got started, here are the items from the online store images.
Before we get to the main event, you should have just left stop number 1 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Jenn @ Happy 2 Scrap 4 Life. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below. Please leave us some blog love as you hop along. We always love to hear from our followers.
So what did I make with the four items that Donna sent me?
I colored the cute little dude with some Classic Ink Pads and my Blender Pen. You have to look really close to see it, but I strung the Silver Metallic Thread through the button in an X. Those Metallic Doilies are on the Weekly Deals this week! I'm definitely going to grab some while they are on sale! They make a great layering piece!
From my own stash, I used Mossy Meadow card stock for my base, the Winter Wonderland Vellum, some of that fabulous Corrugated Paper, and some Perfect Plum Candy Dots from the Regals collection. I also stamped a greeting from Happy Scenes in Mossy Meadow on Perfect Plum card stock. I cut that out with the Bitty Banners framelits. One final detail: that fabulous Curvy Corner Trio Punch!
After looking at this card, I've now got "Silver & Gold" from Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer running through my head! Now that I've got you singing it too, it's time to head over to see what Tobe received for her Mystery Supplies and what fabulousness she created with them!

Mystery Supply Challenge
This was a super fun challenge that evolved "by mistake" last month. I had asked Kim to send me some "Bones" stamped images for a different post, and she asked which colors, etc I would like them in. I told her to surprise me. That led a few of the other DT members to say that would send them in to a panic. Thus the Mystery Supply Challenge was born.
We signed up, Kim assigned us who we would send items to, and then we sent our assigned person three Stampin' Up! items that they had to use on their card or project. Jenny G sent me this:
Ok, so not really. Abby just felt like she needed to help me out. What Jenny really sent was:
This super scary Perfect Peacock stamp which she stamped on Shimmery White in the new Black Archival ink that comes out next week! She also sent me one Antique Brad and some Wisteria Wonder Seam Binding.
The peacock became less scary as I started coloring it, and actually made my stress headache go away. I also discovered that the Shimmery White works very well with our Stampin' Write markers for coloring. I added a greeting from the Work of Art stamp set, and here is my finished product:
I wish that you could see this card in person, because no pictures will do the shimmery part of it justice!
I hope that you enjoy checking out this challenge as much as we enjoyed swapping with each other and stretching our creativity! Check out the other projects at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, and you'll want to visit each designer's blog to see what their challenge items were!
