Fall Hop

My inspiration for this card came from page 46 of Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalog. Here is my version:



  • Sahara Sand card base - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
  • Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper- 2 Crushed Curry, 1 Mossy Meadow each cut to 2-1/2" x 4"
  • Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape
  • White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Trim
  • Autumn Wooden Elements- colored with Blendabilities
  • For All Things stamp set- Sahara Sand ink and Mossy Meadow ink on Whisper White cardstock
  • Banners Framelits
I used Glue Dots for the Wooden Elements pieces. On the banner, I used a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals so that it would lay flat with the Trim.

1-Layer Card

What is the most challenging type of card? For most people it's one layer. Think about it. How are you going to enhance a card with one layer of cardstock/paper? For me I tend to make it too hard.
The bonus is that one layer cards are quick, easy, and easy to duplicate!


  • Very Vanilla cardstock - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
  • Thanks stamp from Seasonally Scattered inked with Garden Green
  • Color Me Autumn Washi Tape
Boom! You're done!

#ssinkcs13-Card Sketch


Upon viewing the sketch for #ssinkcs13, I was a little intimidated. However, once I started working with it, it was really easy and I love the layout!



Here are the details:
  • Soft Suede card base- 8-1/2"x5-1/2", scored and folded at 4-1/4"
  • Night of Navy layer- 4"x5-1/4", embossed with Decorative Dots Embossing Folder
  • Old Olive DSP from Park Lane package- 4"x5", cut in half on diagonal
  • Greeting from Perfect Pennants stamped in Old Olive on Whisper White, cut with Starburst Framelits

Memory Making

My poor pictures have been neglected lately, so I took advantage of today's Project Life post at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration to pull them out and re-live my birthday.


The photos are from the Royals game that we attended. The middle card is from the Playground Project Life Card Kit, and the other two cards are from Happiness Is. They were all so perfect.

My favorite thing about Project Life is how quick it is to complete your Memory Keeping. This page took me less than five minutes to complete, and most of that was spent sorting the pictures and looking for the right cards.

My second favorite thing about Project Life is that it caters to my indecisiveness. This was originally going to be part of a two page layout. Once I completed it, I realized that I wanted it to go right behind this page. Since nothing is glued down, I can flip all of my pictures around, so they will face the direction I want in my album!

Now Featuring

The Design Team at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration has chosen Starburst Sayings as our featured stamp set today. I was inspired to create this card:


The Brights color family got a lot of love from me today! I used Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, and Old Olive ink; as well as, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Sweet Taffy is the name of the Designer Series Paper pack that both of my prints came from. It also features all Brights colors.

Technique Tuesday: Decorative Masks

Have you tried the new Decorative Masks from Stampin' Up!? They are simple and so much fun!

I was inspired by the Designer Series Paper that I used last week, so I had to create my own background.


I created this background using the Stripes Decorative Mask with a sponge dauber and Always Artichoke, Crushed Curry, and Cajun Craze ink. I taped the Very Vanilla cardstock down very gently to a piece of scratch paper with some masking tape. Then I taped the mask down over the top of it so that neither one would move as I was working.

I stamped the leaf from For All Things and cut each one out with my Paper Snips. The Grateful For You is part of the Merry Everything stamp set, which coordinates with the new Note Tag Punch. In fact you can purchase the two bundled together and save 15%!

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Color Challenge


I used this month's color challenge to create a card for a dear friend. She's had a rough year, so I got her a special present and, of course, needed a card to go along with it. The "Count Your Blessings" from Gratitude for Days (new in the Holiday Catalog) seemed like the perfect sentiment.

This card also features the butterflies from Kinda Eclectic, as well as a Hello Honey print from the Lullaby DSP.
