Blog Hop Manly Style

With Father's Day right around the corner, the gals at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration decided that this would be a great month for us to INKspire you with a manly blog hop. It seems like masculine cards are harder than others for many people to create. If you are one of those people, saddle up and hop around for some great masculine cards today!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop #7 - Stamping with Kim on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work, or you get off track; you'll find the full line up below.

I decided to go fairly monochromatic on my card today and feature a new in color: Cucumber Crush. My favorite new product is the corrugated paper. It was the first thing that went on my order on June 2nd! I think I'll find many ways to use it, but for today, I think it has a nice manly feel to it! I also tried out our new Tear Tape. When I saw it was replacing Sticky Strip, I was a little sad because Sticky Strip was a go to adhesive for me. I'm not sad any longer. The Tear Tape is AMAZING! It tears easily, the paper backing comes off easily; and the best part is that it doesn't stick to you and everything else like that red backing did! I used the Tear Tape so as not to smush my corrugated paper.

Masculine Monday

The final Monday of the month means that it is time to celebrate Masculine Monday at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration. Make sure you stop over and see what some of the other designers created as well.

I went for a birthday card this time. I found that one of the birthday greetings from Amazing Birthday works well with the Note Tag Punch!

For The Man

School started last Monday, so things have been a little crazy around here. Is it the same for you? Due to that, I missed making a card to share last Friday for the Amazing Birthday post at SSINK. However, I incorporated the idea I had for that card into my masculine card for today.

When I saw the "It's For You" stamp in Amazing Birthday, the outside reminded me of a grommet. I embossed three of them with Silver Embossing Powder on Marina Mist cardstock. The 3/4" Circle Punch will perfectly punch out the center. Using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch to punch out the whole image will leave a small border around your design. I used the 1" Circle Punch and the 1-3/8" Circle Punch to create a Real Red layer behind my grommets. So as not to be wasteful, I used one of the centers from the stamped images and one of the centers from my Real Red to create my greeting. I felt that tying it on to the ribbon with some White Baker's Twine helped to tie it in with the rope paper from the Maritime Designer Series Paper pack.

Do you notice anything unfamiliar on this card? The Lucky Stars Embossing Folder will be available for customer purchase on August 28th!

As always, thanks for stopping by. Most of my projects I create specifically to share with you, and I love knowing that you've been here to enjoy them. You can also stop over at SSINK for more masculine inspiration.

Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Color Challenge

When did August get here? Shouldn't it still be June? Since it is August, and the first Monday at that, it's time for another color challenge at SSINK! We're changing things up a bit with our color challenges, so make sure to check it out. There will be a special badge for the top pick of the month. You can also tag our challenges now. If play along this month, tag your picture with #ssinkcc12.

What's your initial thought of this color combination? I thought the other ladies were going to laugh me off the island when I posted this one; but it was actually easier than I thought it was going to be.

I stamped one banner in each of the colors with a stamp from Amazing Birthday, which I just received last week. The images coordinates perfectly with the Banner Framelit dies. The "Life is good" sentiment is from the Project Life Remember This set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow on Whisper White cardstock before punching it out with my very neglected Curly Label punch.

Thanks for coming to see me today. Play along if you were INKspired; and you never know when I might come searching for your tag on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook!
