Birthday Card Sketch
It's Card Sketch Monday over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration! If you checked out my Color Challenge post last Monday, you know that last week was my mom's birthday. Today is my aunt's birthday, so I combined the Card Sketch and last week's color challenge to create a card for her today.
Her favorite color is purple, so I tried to make the Wisteria Wonder my primary color. I was going to add some of the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape, but it just didn't look right, so I left it as is.
The Wisteria Wonder is a standard card base of 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4". The Gumball Green is 5-1/2" x 3-1/2". The Very Vanilla pieces are each 1-1/2" x 3".
Make sure to stop over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration to see the other card sketch cards. Did you know that you can link up your Card Sketch inspired card on that blog?

Back With a Card Sketch
I'm back! Apologies for my hiatus. I recently started working full time again, after only working part time for the last five years. In addition to being physically exhausting to my lupus/fibro body; it's been mentally exhausting too as I'm learning new duties in my office. To say that I've pretty much let everything else go the last month would be an understatement. However, I'm happy to report that I'm adjusting and it felt great getting back to my stamp table today!
It's Card Sketch Monday at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration. My grandma-in-law has requested some more birthday cards, and I thought this was a great sketch for that purpose.
This is technically a hybrid card, as I've not purchased the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper out of the Occasions Catalog. If you remember from the February Blog Hop, I do have the digital download of it, however. I picked the design I wanted to use in My Digital Studio and created a "page" with it. Then I printed it out on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Easy! I opted to color the flowers with Stampin' Write Markers, however I think the next time I make this card, I will use the Blender Pen for a softer effect. What do you think?
We'd love to have you stop over at SSINK to get INKspired by the other designers as well!

Ready For Sunshine
If you saw my post Saturday, you know I spent part of the weekend at a crop. This particular crop is held to raise funds for a local school; and I almost always set up a vendor booth at it. I really enjoy the women who attend and I have made some wonderful friends over the years that I've been attending.
I loaded up almost all of my current product (which took 5 trips to the car) and took it with me with the intention of creating several cards for my daily blog posts. Thank goodness for lots of table space, as I was spread out over three tables and the floor!
I'd been creating since 11:00 Saturday morning, and around 3:00 I looked at Sherry, who was at the table across from me and said, "oh my, everything I've created today, I've used yellow on!" I guess I'm ready for the winter blahs to be gone and permanent warm sunshine to be here! I had to chuckle, because each card even had a different shade of yellow on them. You'll see most of them over the next three days. I'm saving one for next Tuesday though. ;)
I was itching to try out some of my new products that I had ordered from the Occasions Catalog last week. The greeting says it all; the Happy Watercolor stamp set does make me happy! I love the watercolor paint image that you can stamp behind most of our flower images.
Supplies use:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Night of Navy

Ink: Night of Navy, Summer Starfruit, Early Espresso
