Brr...It's Cold

My husband and I went for a walk last night after work. At 18 degrees by the time we got back home, I'd say it was more than a little cold!!! Thankfully you can stay warm and toasty and enjoy the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop inside!

You probably arrived here from stop #1 ~ Pamela's Stinky Tofu blog. If you're just starting here, that's fine too! If you lose your spot on the hop, or a link doesn't work; you'll find a complete hop list at the bottom of this post. We love to hear from our followers, so please leave each designer some love as you hop around.

Since winter has decided to come on big and bad in Kansas the last couple weeks (that wind!), I decided to feature the cute snowmen from Snow Place. I stamped them in Night of Navy Classic Ink on Pool Party card stock. The Let It Snow greeting is from the same set, and also stamped in Night of Navy. The snowflakes from Snow Place were stamped in Pool Party ink for a tone-on-tone effect.

I created a border around the Pool Party layer by gluing the Silver 1/8" Ribbon around the edges using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. I mounted this layer on a Night of Navy base.

Finally I used the Wink of Stella pen to sparkle up the snowmen and the greeting.

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you enjoyed my fun snowmen! Keep your fingers crossed that the snow stays away until after graduation on Saturday!

Next up on our hop is Tobe from The Craft Sea. You can find her by clicking the Next button below! Remember to let each of our designers know you were on their page by leaving a comment at the bottom of each post!

New Stampin' Up! Favorites

Today is a monumental day, as it is our last Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop. Never fear, we'll still have daily inspiration for you with the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Design Team. Of course, we have to share our new catalog favorites with you today, since the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog has now been live for 10 days!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 11 on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop -Heidi B. of Stuck On Stampin. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

My favorite for this card is the Metro Type Alphabet set. All of our alphabet sets are now photopolymer sets, which is great. It makes them easy to position and use to create words on one block. I used the largest Clear Block and mounted letters A-T on it to create this fun background.

This card would make a great end of year card for a teacher, or student. It also features the new Work of Art set and the new Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker's Twine.

Click the Next button below to head over to Cynthia's blog. Make sure to follow my blog while you're here so you don't miss any of the daily inspiration here, and at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.

Hit Me With Your Best Punch

It's that time again! The monthly Stylin' Stampin' Blog Hop! I think this month's theme was tailor-made for me; I love...PUNCHES. My card today features three and a half punches, along with more sneak peeks of some upcoming products!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number 1 on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - Pam S of Stampin' In the Sun. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Are you tired of reading yet? Do you want to see the card? Ok, I'll quit teasing you.

Believe it or not, I actually pre-ordered quite a bit of product, yet I featured two of the same new products two days in a row. It's because they are awesome! This picture does not do the Blackberry Bliss cardstock or ink justice, but believe me; it is gorgeous. (and goes really well with Crisp Cantaloupe) Also, there is the Hello Honey ribbon making another appearance.

Did you see my post yesterday that really featured the Blendabilities? Well, I used them again today. I found that they will work to color your stamp like the regular markers do. I have to interject a story here. Growing up I had a book about a town that had no color. Someone planted some seeds, and anyone who touched the flowers that grew from them turned color(s). I think the girl's name was Calico Callie, and I remember Mayor Caruthers. If anyone can tell me the title of the book, I'll send you a little Stampin' Up! goodie! It's been driving me crazy! At any rate, when I got the Flower Shop stamp set, this particular flower has always reminded me of that book because of the different patterns on the petals. I did try coloring the petals different colors with the Blendabilities and because of the added time of switching markers, the part that I colored first was dry and wouldn't stamp. The part that I really like is that since the Blendabilities come with three markers in the pack, each a lighter shade of the color, you have some hue flexibility. The flower on the right is Rich Razzleberry!
You might also notice the Coastal Cabana buttons. Those started as clear. Yes, I colored them with the Blendabilities!

Should we get to the punches since that's what this post is really about? Have you figured out the three and a half punches? Scallop Tag Topper, Artisan Label, and 7/8" Scallop Circle. Plus, the corner rounder on the Envelope Punch Board! If you use the Artisan Label with any of the word images from Label Love, the scallops actually go at the top and bottom. I've always used it like that, no matter what project I used it on. Then today it hit me; "hey, I should turn them sideways!" I really like them that way too!

Thanks for joining us today! I'd love to hear what you're favorite part of this card is, since I have many elements. After you pin it, and comment, keep hopping by clicking that Next button below to visit Cynthia, who might just be a fan of coffee, chocolate, and coffee flavored chocolate! ;)

Wee April Ones

Today we are celebrating kids! Much like the kids that will soon be hopping behind the Easter Bunny, you never know what treat you will find as you hop along our blog hop today. It may be babies, kid birthdays...you just won't know until you make the rounds! ;)

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! I don't make a lot of baby cards, so I knew that's what I wanted to focus on today. However, I realized that that means I also don't own a lot of current Stampin' Up! baby sets. My Digital Studio to the rescue!

The stars, moon, and "rock-a-bye" are all from the Nursery Necessities stamp brush set. I used the Match Color tool to color the stars silver like the brads. The DSP layer is my favorite element on this card. It is from the Rock-a-Bye Designer Kit. I layered Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon behind it as a "mat." I created the "baby" with the Love Birds Alphabet & Numbers stamp brush set.

I love that I have My Digital Studio at my fingertips to create any type of card I need at a moment's notice. Plus with so many elements available it's easy to make gender-specific and gender-neutral cards! I did realize as I was scrolling through all of my digital elements in MDS that I really need to use it to create more often! Adding that to my goal list!

Next up on our hop is Tonya! Click that Next button to head on over!

Hopping For Spring!

Thank you so much for joining us for our March Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop! Temperatures are on the rise and there is just one short week until the official first day of Spring!  We are all so ready to put away our snowflakes and break out the flowers in our craft rooms!  Stampin' Up! has so many options for Spring-time flowers and we are showing you just a few of those today!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number (insert number here) on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – (insert name of hopper and blog name here). If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.
I knew that I wanted to use the Flower Shop Bundle and Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper for my card today. My color inspiration came from the Gingham Garden DSP.

Growing up I was drawn to gingham fabrics, so when this DSP was released last spring, I fell in love. Since there were so many elements on my card, I wanted to stay within a 3-color scheme; but felt it need a pop of color. Melon Mambo gingham to the rescue!

My favorite elements on this card are the Decorative Dots embossing, and the Daffodil Delight frame. While the Decorative Dots aren't incredibly obvious on the Night of Navy, it gave just the right amount of added dimension. For the frame, I cut the Pear Pizzazz with the #6 Square Framelit (if you count up, starting with #1 as the smallest). Then I cut the Daffodil Delight with # 3 and #6 at the same time. They are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals to really give the frame illusion.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope spring is in the air where you are (and without allergies) and you start seeing some spring flowers popping up around you! Let's click the Next button and head on over to see Bree's fabulous spring creation.
