#SSINKCC31: March Color Challenge
I might be biased, but I think this is a pretty awesome color challenge. If you think so too, you should play along with us at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration! If you don't blog, you can also post to Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, etc using #SSINKCC31.
I may or may not be a little behind on mailing out birthday cards, so I'm trying to get caught up. I love the font of the Happy Birthday in the new set, That Thing You Did. I also pulled out an old favorite that I haven't inked up in awhile, Blended Bloom. I embossed the flower with Winter White embossing powder using Versamark and my Heat Tool.
Of these three colors, Lost Lagoon is my favorite. To make the layer stand out a bit more, I used the Boho Chic textured impressions embossing folder. In addition to stamping the greeting in Rich Razzleberry classic ink on the Pink Pirouette card base, I also added three Rich Razzleberry Brights candy dots.

June Color Challenge
I'll admit when I created this color challenge I took an easy out. Since June is "wedding month," or used to be anyway, I thought, "why not Blushing Bride?" Of course, I had to make it a challenge, and pairing it with Soft Suede and Daffodil Delight was a bit of a stretch for me personally.
I was at the Dirty Kanza 200 finish line Saturday, and kept thinking of all the dirty riders coming across the finish line. The weather was nicer this year, but in previous years it has rained and they were muddy when they finished. That made me think of Gorgeous Grunge. That led me to my background.
My decision for the greeting came from talking with one of the riders after he finished. I asked how it was; and he began to document every misfortune he had had. While he wasn't happy because his day had not been perfect; I still in awe of his wonderful accomplishment. "Dude, you just rode 200 miles of Flint Hills gravel in 13 hours in the Kansas sun. You did a great job!" This just goes to show that everyone's perspective can be different.
The flower is the new Blended Bloom stamp. Coloring it took me back to my childhood and how relaxing coloring can be. I used the Blender Pen with the Blushing Bride ink for the petals; and then the Blushing Bride marker for the outside of the petals for a little extra dimension to the flower.
I'd love to hear your perspective about a wonderful part of your life that's not perfect. Drop me a line the comment below, or send me an email if you don't want it public.
We would love to have you join the Color Challenge with us this month at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration!
