2017 Occasions Catalog Countdown: Party Animal
The 2017 Occasions Catalog from Stampin' Up! goes live on January 4th. As a demonstrator, I was able to preorder several products from the new catalog and have already been having fun playing with them!
Today the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Design team is starting our countdown to the new catalog by featuring a different suite of products each day. Today our feature is Party Animal.
My card features the Party Animal Designer Series Paper, which is the Crushed Curry background with the candles on it. I also used the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits dies, which will make a pop-up for inside your card, or you can trim it down for the front like I did. I used the Balloon Adventures stamp set to stamp the balloons and greeting. I also added a few Crushed Curry enamel dots from the Regals collection, which is in the current Annual Catalog.
Visit the SSINKspiration blog to see a variety of other uses for this suite! Stop back in tomorrow for a sneak peek at the Sending Love Suite!

Brr...It's Cold
My husband and I went for a walk last night after work. At 18 degrees by the time we got back home, I'd say it was more than a little cold!!! Thankfully you can stay warm and toasty and enjoy the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop inside!
You probably arrived here from stop #1 ~ Pamela's Stinky Tofu blog. If you're just starting here, that's fine too! If you lose your spot on the hop, or a link doesn't work; you'll find a complete hop list at the bottom of this post. We love to hear from our followers, so please leave each designer some love as you hop around.
Since winter has decided to come on big and bad in Kansas the last couple weeks (that wind!), I decided to feature the cute snowmen from Snow Place. I stamped them in Night of Navy Classic Ink on Pool Party card stock. The Let It Snow greeting is from the same set, and also stamped in Night of Navy. The snowflakes from Snow Place were stamped in Pool Party ink for a tone-on-tone effect.
I created a border around the Pool Party layer by gluing the Silver 1/8" Ribbon around the edges using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. I mounted this layer on a Night of Navy base.
Finally I used the Wink of Stella pen to sparkle up the snowmen and the greeting.
Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you enjoyed my fun snowmen! Keep your fingers crossed that the snow stays away until after graduation on Saturday!
Next up on our hop is Tobe from The Craft Sea. You can find her by clicking the Next button below! Remember to let each of our designers know you were on their page by leaving a comment at the bottom of each post!

Time to CASE!
Hello! Join us to take a break from celebrating that the election cycle is over, and enjoy some fun items made by our design team. Have you heard of CASE? It stands for Copy And Share Everything and is highly encouraged in the Stampin' Up! world. Today our theme is to CASE another member of the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration design team.
As you hop along, please leave some love for each of the designers. We love to hear from our followers, and are anxious to hear what you love! You should have just left stop #3 - Nichole at Scrappy Stamps and Ink. If so, you are in the right place. If you get off track or a link doesn't work, you will find the full Blog Hop list at the bottom of this post. Let's get to the main event!
I CASE'd a card that Tobe from The Craft Sea shared in September for a Thank You card challenge. I made my own DSP background with the Paisleys and Posies stamp set. I stamped the images in VersaMark on Whisper White card stock and then heat embossed with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. I used the Sponge Brayers to ink over them with Island Indigo ink and Rich Razzleberry ink.
There's actually a gap between the two pieces, which I decided to cover with two pieces of Silver 1/8" Ribbon. Do you recognize that greeting? Unless you are a demonstrator, you probably won't, as it's from a new set that is being released in January! Sneak Peek!!!
I'm so happy that you stopped in today! Leave a comment below so I know that you were here, and then let's head over to see what fabulous creation Jenny G has for us! Click the Next button below.

Happy Halloween!
Spooky greetings! The September Paper Pumpkin kit was perfect for allowing me to put together Halloween treats for all my coworkers in a short amount of time. It took longer to sort the M&Ms than it did to assemble the kit!
There are 15 of us in the office and there were 16 treat tubes in this kit, so it worked out perfectly! I wonder who will deserve a special treat tomorrow?
Are you signed up for Paper Pumpkin? If not, you are missing out on some fabulous projects that are a snap to put together! Sign up today!
After you're done signing up for Paper Pumpkin, check out the fun (and in some cases downright creepy) Halloween projects our SSINK designers shared today!

It's a Mystery
Hello! Welcome to another installment of the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog hop. This month everything is a mystery!
You are currently at stop #1. You may be starting here, or you may have come here from Cheryl's blog. If you get off track, or a link doesn't work, there is a complete hop list at the bottom of each post. We hope you enjoy!
So you may be wondering what I meant when I said it was a mystery. Each of us sent items to each other that we were required to use on our project for this month. This is what Cheryl sent me.
And this is what I created with these supplies.
Since Cheryl had already used a thinlit to "decorate" the tree, I used the Metallic Thread that she sent along to thread through the holes for a garland effect. I added a Metallic Gold Star to the top the tree.
Mint Macaroon and Cherry Cobbler were two of the colors featured in the piece of Designer Series Paper that Cheryl sent me. This is how I chose the colors of card stock and ink to use. Through this, I discovered that I LOVE Cherry Cobbler stamped on Mint Macaroon!
I love the products that Cheryl sent, especially since I personally only own one of the three products myself. It was great to get to play with new items! Thanks, Cheryl, for the INKspiration and great products!
I sent my three items to Diana. She said that my items were quite a challenge, but I knew she was up for it! Let's head over to her blog with the Next button and see what she came up with!

My Favorite Holiday Bundle
There are so many great bundles in the Holiday Catalog! Did you know that you can save 10% when you purchase one of the bundle versus buying the items separately? While the Cookie Cutter bundle that I used in my last post is darling, the bundle I used today is my absolute favorite.
It's called Festive Season Photopolymer Bundle, and you can purchase it for only $42.25! The thinlits actually punch holes around your image, so you can use thread or twine to sew! This set combines two of my favorite things: paper crafting and needlepoint!
Here is a close up of the star with that yummy copper embossing powder, as well as the Metallic Thread Combo pack.
You can watch the Facebook Live video (called Labor Day Fun) I created for some more close ups.

#SSINKCC37: A Color Challenge
Hello! Today the ladies at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration have a fun color challenge that can support fall or Christmas themes. I chose to go with Christmas, and used some fun new products from the 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.
When I saw Cookie Cutter Christmas in the new holiday catalog, I just HAD to have it! The great thing is that it also has a coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. The best news? You can purchase them as a bundle and save 10%!
I wanted to do a Christmas card with the Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, and Garden Green color combo. The bears are just too cute, but since I was using the punch, I had to improvise on the ears. I used the bow from the punch to create the ears.
Click on over to SSINKspiration to be INKspired further with this great color combo!

It's Easy As ABC, 123
Welcome to our monthly Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop! Our theme today is ABC 123. Our Roll Call question on our Facebook page this week is about Back To School, so it all seems appropriate for August!
We're so excited to have you hop with us today! If you're hopping in order, you should have just left stop #5 - Cheryl at Create with Cheryl. If you get off course, or a link doesn't work, the entire hop list is at the bottom of this post. Please leave our designers some love when you visit them. We love to hear from our readers!
So what exactly does ABC 123 mean as a theme? (You were asking yourself that, right?) We were challenged to create an Album page, Box, or Card that used 1 stamp set, 2 designer series papers (either 2 stacks or 2 designs from the same stack), and 3 embellishments.
As you can see, I opted for a card. My base is Tangerine Tango. My 1 stamp set was Thoughtful Banners, which you can save 15% on when you purchase it bundled with the coordinating Duet Banner Punch. My 2 DSP were A Little Foxy (which I used the reverse side of the same print for my smaller balloon), and Serene Scenery (which is my favorite DSP of all time!). The balloons were cut out with the Balloon Bouquet punch. My three embellishments were Brights Enamel Shapes, Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine, and Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape.
Thank you so much for stopping in and seeing my ABC 123 project! If you started at the beginning of the hop, you have reached the end. If you started in the middle, or would like to hop through again, you can use that Next button to head to Diana's blog!

Make It Quick!
Earlier this month a family friend had a major surgery that left her in lots of pain. Her daughter put out a request for well wishes, and I wanted to get a card made quick so I could get it in the mail asap. In steps a quick and easy card!
I knew that I wanted to use the greetings from Here For You, but I didn't feel that flowers and butterflies were the appropriate background for the sayings I wanted to use. A "sun" from Kinda Eclectic was just the ticket to add what I needed to this card! The color inspiration came from the Moroccan Designer Washi Tape.
My favorite part of this card is the inside because knowing her family as I do, I'm sure they'll get a giggle out of it just as I did!

Lighting Up Summer
Hello! It's time for another Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop and this month we're focusing on all things summer! Our guidelines were wide open for projects to share. We could focus on summer-inspired, scrapbooking summer vacation pictures, or a project to do with kids while they are home for the summer. You'll have to hop along through everyone to see what they chose to share today!
As you hop along, please leave some love on each blog. We love to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop #3 ~ Cheryl from Create with Cheryl. If you get off track, or a next button happens to not work, you'll find the entire hop list at the bottom of this post.
Now that we've got the business out of the way, let's move on to the main event!
Growing up on the farm, one of my favorite things about summer was catching lightning bugs (as we call them here in Kansas). Without street lights, they were easy to see. My parents had a "special" canning jar that I used to catch them in; which basically was one we never used for food, and they used an ice pick to poke holes in the lid. I would pull some grass to put in the bottom, fill the jar with lightning bugs, and keep them in my room. They weren't near as fun to watch the next morning when you couldn't see them light up! That's when I'd release them back in to their habitat.
I actually bought the Jar of Love stamp set because in my opinion it's a little bit country, just like me. I didn't realize that it had these great bugs in with it! Besides being the perfect set to use on my summer-inspired card, the best part is that the coordinating Everyday Jars framelits have the lightning bug framelit so you don't have to fussy cut!
The Serene Scenery designer series paper made the perfect background for a night sky, as well as the "blanket" that my jar is sitting on. The jar lid is embossed with Copper embossing powder. Aren't those Metallic Enamel Shapes perfect for creating a starry night?
Thanks for stopping by and sharing in a wonderful childhood memory with me! Please share your favorite childhood memory in the comments below and then head over to see what Diana has created by using that Next button!

#SSINKCC35, A Red, White, & Blue Color Challenge
Today at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration, we are celebrating with a red, white, & blue color challenge.
The teenage son of a friend from high school injured his arm last week and may have to sit out of football this year. He's super bummed and so she asked for some cards to cheer him up. I realized that I don't have a lot of stamps geared towards teenage boys! (unless they like lots of flowers and butterflies) I finally found the perfect combination of products. I must say that this was a great color combination for a masculine card!
The blue lines are from Gorgeous Grunge. I inked up the stamp once in Dapper Denim and then stamped 5 times, moving right as I went. The greeting is from Here For You. It's got some great greetings in it! The Real Red embellishments are the new Enamel Shapes in Brights.
I used another stamp from Here For You to stamp the inside of the card as well.
Thanks for stopping by today. Did you know that you can play along with our weekly challenges at Stylin' Stampin' INKspriation. Make your own red, white, and blue project, post it online, and then use the link tool at SSINK to play along. Or you can use #SSINKCC35 as a tag when you post it to any gallery.
If you're out celebrating today, stay safe!

Star birthday!
Hello! Can you believe that it's already July? Where has 2016 gone?
Today I am sharing a birthday card I created for a very special young lady. She is a rock star for how she has managed all of the things she has been dealt in life thus far, so I am hoping I can brighten her day a bit with my card.
This has been the first time that I've actually had a chance to sit down and use some of my new products. Those featured on this card are the Stylized Birthday stamp, Pop of Pink washi tape, and Serene Scenery designer series paper.
The returning products that you are familiar with are Melon Mambo card stock and ink, Banner framelits, Stars Collection framelits and Lucky Stars embossing folder.
We have many star themed projects for you today on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration blog. Please check them out and leave some love!

Hats off!
Tomorrow is commencement day at our local university. One of my co-workers is finishing his MBA, so I made this card for him.
Our school colors are black and gold, so my color theme for this card was easy to figure out. The card base and banner are Tip Top Taupe. The Congrats is from Tin of Cards, which I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. The Large Numbers framelits and some Gold Glimmer Paper provided my focal point; while the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and Basic Black Cardstock provided the finishing touch.
Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration is featuring framelits today. If you would love to see a variety of cards with different framelits for some inspiration, head over for Framelits Friday.

The Hop Is Flowering
Hello! The April Showers didn't really show up around here, but the May Showers have brought May flowers! The Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration gals wanted to brighten your day today with lots of flowers.
As you hop along, please show some love and leave comments for each of our designers. We are always excited to hear from our followers and what you love! You should have just left stop number 1 on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop - Diana at Stampin' Fun with Diana. If you get off track or a link doesn't work, the entire blog hop list is at the bottom of this post. Now how about some flowers?
I got so into the flower spirit when looking at my stamps, and I just HAD to play with new products, so I made three cards to share with you today.
I can't pick a favorite, so I'm going to tell you about all three.
The Shine card features the flower stamp from Crazy About You, which was punched with the coordinating Flower Medallion punch. I stamped it in Flirty Flamingo ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Next I used the Sunburst Framelit on Pool Party Cardstock. I layered that over a piece of DSP from the new Playful Palette paper stack. The Shine greeting is from Sunburst Sayings. I stamped in it Sweet Sugarplum on Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock. Then I used my Gold Wink of Stella pen for the first time (can you believe it?). I didn't let it fully dry before I took the picture, therefore it looks a little multicolored, but it's not. The final touch was a Basic Rhinestone Jewel in the flower center.
The next card features the calla lilies from Remarkable You. They were stamped in Sweet Sugarplum on Very Vanilla Cardstock and cut out using the Lots of Labels framelits. I layered that over another pattern from the Playful Palette DSP stack. The greeting is from Garden In Bloom, which I stamped in Emerald Envy. I added two Blushing Bride Subtles Candy Dots. The card base is Sweet Sugarplum embossed with the Polka Dot embossing folder. My final touch on this card was to color the stamen of the flowers using a Blender Pen and Hello Honey ink.
My final card features the Bold Butterfly and Botanical Builder framelits. The DSP is once again from the Playful Palette stack. The happy birthday can be found in the Tin of Cards stamp set, which I stamped in Emerald Envy. You'll never guess that the large flower is Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock! The smaller two are from the same DSP stack and were scraps from my first card. The Bright Candy Dots and Botanical Garden Jewels finished off this card.
I'm certain that you can guess what my favorite 2016-2018 In Color is! If you're not a demonstrator, you can start getting your hands on the yummy new products on June 1st! Now, let's see what Kim (and baby Micah) has in store for us today! Just click on that Next button.
