PINspiration

Everyone gets inspired by Pinterest, right? From weight loss to DIY; house remodels to kids' parties, you can find it all!

Our goal today at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration was to find PINspiration while making our project. I created a whole pinspiration board in anticipation of this project. Some of my pins are quotes, some are color combinations, and some are more tangible items. Every time that I went back to that board, one pin kept drawing my attention.

This chair was so bright and fun. It also reminded me of the Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper, which I haven't used in several months.

Of course I was going to use Coastal Cabana for the card base and the Eastern Elegance DSP; but what else was I going to do? I kept eying the back of the chair. I had just received the Chevron Border Punch (I know. Can you believe it took me so long to order it?), and thought I could make a fun design with it.

Let me just say, this was not a quick and easy card. I went through many of the DSP patterns trying to decide which one worked the best. I played with many different configurations of the chevrons. This is finally what I ended up with (along with glue covered fingers):

I stared at my card for awhile trying to convince it to tell me what greeting I should use on it. I decided to see how it looked in my light box. This was the layout I had intended when I started the card; but low and behold, as I set it down, I flipped it the other way, and...

I like it much better this way. I decided to leave a greeting off of the card until I get ready to use it, and then I will see which way looks better for that particular occasion!

I'd love to see your Pinterest inspired creations! Please link up your own post below!
