Fall In, Hop In; Just Get On In!

Thank you so much for joining us for the October Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  Blog Hop! This month we are focusing on the Fall season. It’s the time of year when fireplaces start crackling with warmth and we dig out our sweaters. This month’s blog hop will showcase many of the Stampin’ Up! products that are available to make  Autumn themed creations. We hope you enjoy seeing how we use the products to create our projects and feel inspired to come up with some great projects of your own.

You should have just left stop number 2 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad blog hop – Dawn of Dawn's Creative Chalet. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn’t work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Today I have created a fall themed wreath and coordinating thank you card. Let's take a closer look.

For the wreath I started with a form that I bought at a local art and hobby supply store. I then used the 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog to wrap around it. For the 14" wreath, it took a little over a spool and a half to cover the entire wreath. I had gotten the idea from one of my friends who had seen it in a magazine. After she wrapped hers, she glued buttons all over it. It was super cute and a great way to use some of those jars and jars of buttons that we are all accumulating!

I decided I wanted my wreath to have leaves for all. My favorite time of year is when the leaves are changing colors. These leaves were cut out using the Autumn Accents Bigz die. The cardstock colors are Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze, while the Designer Series Paper is Sweater Weather.

I wanted to make a CAS (clean and simple) card. While it is very simple, I had a lot of fun playing with color blocking on this card. The greeting is from Simply Sketched and was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock using Cajun Craze ink. The other cardstock colors used are Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Chocolate Chip.

I hope you enjoyed my creations today, as I really enjoyed making them. Please leave a comment letting me know that you stopped in, and then click on that Next Button to head over to Jennifer's blog!
